Terms of Service

Last updated 30 September 2026

By using DailyJournal - the app, or the Daily Journal activity inside Discord - you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

DailyJournal is a personal journal: a calendar where you write entries, tag moods and answer reflection prompts. It is provided as-is, free of charge, with no uptime or availability guarantee.

Your account

• Use a username you are allowed to use and keep your password (or your Discord login) to yourself. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
• Signing in through Discord only uses your Discord identity to identify you - see the Privacy Policy.
• One person, one account: no reselling, no sharing the service with others through your account.

Your entries

What you write is yours. DailyJournal stores and shows it back to you and never publishes, sells or shares it. You give the service only the permission needed to store your journal and display it to you.

Acceptable use

• No unlawful, harassing or hateful content in violation of the law.
• No attempts to break the service: no probing, scraping beyond normal use, overload, or accessing other people's accounts or entries.
• No using the service to distribute malware or to interfere with other users or the infrastructure.
• Inside Discord, Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply as well.

Deleting data

You can delete everything at any time: Settings → Delete account removes your account, sessions and all entries. No copy of your journal is kept afterwards.

Changes and termination

The service may change, be paused or be discontinued at any time. We may restrict or close accounts that break these terms. We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DailyJournal is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
